Carly & Patrick
August 8th, 2026
Our Story
We met in 2018 but didn’t start dating until almost a year later. We travelled and adventured and soon knew we wanted to build a life together. After getting engaged in 2021, having a child was a big priority. We were thrilled when Zachary (Zak) joined us in 2022 and we soon grew into this new normal. Having a second child was a big decision but we opted to go for it. Emma joined us in 2025. With these two amazing kiddos now in our life, it’s time for us to get married!
Carly
Carly was born and raised in Western Australia. She moved to Vancouver in 2015 planning to stick around for some travelling and adventuring. The friendship, community and nature hooked her in.
Patrick
Patrick was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. After travelling internationally for the better part of a decade, he moved to Vancouver in 2014 seeking community, employment and yes, love!

RSVP
We wish we could celebrate every moment with every person we love. However, due to the cozy size of our venue and our budget, we’ve had to keep our ceremony and dinner intimate. We are so excited, though, that our venue opens up in the evening! We can’t wait to have our full circle of friends and family join us for drinks, dancing, and late-night celebrations starting at 8 pm.

How to prepare
Did we miss something below? Have questions? Drop us a line: TheBigDay@carlyandpatrick.ca
What to Wear
We kindly request semi-formal or cocktail attire for our special day—think suits and ties, elegant dresses, or chic jumpsuits. Our wedding color palette features soft pastels, and we would love it if you joined in the fun by incorporating these light, airy hues into your outfit. Most importantly, wear something you feel great dancing in!
During the ceremony, we are having an unplugged moment so everyone can be fully present. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as your heart desires! All we ask is that you send them our way to enjoy with you!
When to arrive
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the ceremony to ensure you are able to park and settle into seating, etc. For the reception, please arrive no later than 5:30. For the evening party, you’re welcome to join anytime between 8 p.m. to midnight.
Food & Drinks
Some light snacks will be provided during the reception, prior to dinner. Some light snacks will be available after 8 p.m.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided during the reception, dinner and evening party. Please drink responsibly and plan your journey home accordingly (transit, taxi, Uber, etc.).
Getting around
There will be street parking available nearby at the ceremony location. Parking at the reception and party venue will be more challenging, so we recommend taking transit or taxi. The reception is about 10 minutes by car from the ceremony location.
PLEASE NOTE: Pleasant Day Festival will be happening at the same time as our reception, so Main St. will be closed from 16th Ave. to King Edward until at least 8 p.m. Please plan your travel time and parking accordingly.
Gifts
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a contribution to our family adventure fund would help us create memories that will last a lifetime!
"A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences."
